During the keynote address at Final Fantasy 14’s Fan Fest in Las Vegas, Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida, the producer and director of FF14, made a surprising announcement. Final Fantasy 14, the beloved MMORPG, will soon be crossing over with Fall Guys, a popular game by Mediatonic. This exciting collaboration between Square Enix and Mediatonic will bring new experiences to both Fall Guys and Final Fantasy 14.
For Fall Guys players, the collaboration will kick off with a special event, the “Fame Pass,” starting from Tuesday, August 22 until Tuesday, October 3. Players will have the chance to earn unique costumes inspired by Final Fantasy 14 characters, including Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur, as well as job costumes for Dragoon and White Mage. Additionally, cute outfits featuring Namazu, Goobbue, Fat Chocobo, and Fat Black Chocobo will also be available, delighting players who enjoy dressing up their Fall Guys characters.
On the Final Fantasy 14 side of the collaboration, players can look forward to an exciting update to the Manderville Gold Saucer in Spring 2024. This update will introduce a new GATE (Gold Saucer Active Time Event) and an obstacle course, both themed around Fall Guys. The course will support up to 24 players and promises a thrilling experience. Before all this, the Fan Fest started with an unveiling of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail, the forthcoming expansion. Players will embark on a “summer vacation” in the land of Tural, formerly known as the New World, following the events of Endwalker. The expansion is set for release in the summer of 2024, providing a new and exciting adventure for Final Fantasy 14 fans.
