The studio shared the update via social media, stating, “The Zone’s boundaries grow—STALKER 2 arrives on PS5.” Players can now add the title to their wishlists on Sony’s digital storefront to receive alerts about pre-orders and launch details. A brief trailer, uploaded by IGN, hints at the game’s atmospheric world through cryptic scenes and custom controller designs.

Originally debuting in late 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, the title’s PlayStation absence initially left fans questioning—though prior entries’ multi-platform availability suggested patience would pay off. Its Xbox launch faced criticism for technical instability, with many reviewers encountering bugs in pre-release builds.
