Approximately two months remain until Tokyo Game Show 2025 launches, with the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association recently revealing initial participating studios and unveiling this year’s theme artwork by Zashiki Warashi. As reported by Gematsu, the event’s expanded scale highlights its growing global footprint.
The 2025 showcase will feature 4,083 exhibition spaces across 772 confirmed participants, marking a 25% increase in venue size compared to 2024’s 3,252 booths. International representation spans 299 companies from outside Japan, reflecting broader industry engagement. Major participants include industry powerhouses like Sega, Capcom, Square Enix, and Sony Interactive Entertainment, with the event running September 25–28 at Chiba’s Makuhari Messe convention center.
Other significant names joining the lineup feature Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Koei Tecmo, and Riot Games, alongside indie publisher Annapurna Interactive. The exhibitor list underscores TGS’s blend of AAA development and emerging creative voices.
While major reveals are less common at TGS compared to other industry showcases, its strategic timing between Gamescom and holiday releases often delivers substantive updates on upcoming titles. Anticipation builds for hands-on demos and production insights as developers prepare for year-end launches.
