Assassin’s Creed Shadows – How to Refill Scouts

Assassin’s Creed Shadows introduces fresh gameplay mechanics that differentiate it from previous titles in the series. After completing most main and side quests, the game doesn’t explicitly tell you where to go next, instead offering vague clues. You’ll need to explore freely to find your next objective. To expedite this, you can use scouts, but their availability is limited per season, and you’ll have to wait for the season to change to use them again unless you take specific actions.

Fortunately, you don’t need to wait for the season to change to restore your scout uses once they’re depleted. By interacting with sacks in any unlocked Kakuraga safehouse, you can restore scout uses by paying 200 mon. While this option is convenient for emergencies, such as clearing wanted statuses or salvaging stockpiles from enemy strongholds, it comes at a cost. Therefore, it’s best to use this feature sparingly. To enhance your scouts’ capabilities, upgrade your Kakurega to level 2 and improve the Stables in your Hideout.

If you find the scout system invaluable, you’ll want to maximize the number of scouts at your disposal. This requires upgrading your Study in the Hideout, which increases the scout limit up to 9. Gathering resources to upgrade the Study can be achieved by completing seasonal contracts in each region, in addition to raiding enemy camps and strongholds. Seasonal contracts are available through any Kakuraga, making them a reliable way to accumulate the necessary resources.
