SEGA Announces Persona 4 Revival; Stranger Than Heaven Potentially Delayed to 2027

SEGA’s most recent financial report hints that Persona 4 Revival and RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven could potentially see delays, with possible launch windows stretching into 2027.

Featured in a presentation slide outlining SEGA’s “mid-term development roadmap,” five confirmed titles appear. Among them is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, set to arrive on September 25, 2025.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, currently available, Football Manager 2025, and the aforementioned Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven complete the list. The latter two are noted as “titles announced for release in or after FY2027/3.

SEGA Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven release windows

This projection doesn’t guarantee a 2027 release for both games. SEGA’s fiscal year 2027 begins in April 2026, leaving room for potential late-2026 launches. However, the timeline indicates at least one title may slip into the following year.

Speculation about Persona 4 Revival had persisted for months before its confirmation, while Stranger Than Heaven—previously known as Project Century—received its official name during Summer Game Fest 2025. Given typical development cycles, a 2026-2027 timeframe aligns with industry standards for high-profile titles.

While fans await updates, extended radio silence seems probable. If both projects remain on track for post-2026 releases, SEGA may withhold further details until closer to their launch periods, allowing developers to concentrate on production.
