How To Recycle Items in Dune Awakening

Advancing through Dune Awakening inevitably results in your storage becoming packed with outdated equipment. Early-game gear loses its usefulness as you acquire superior alternatives. Rather than discarding these items, use the ‘Recycler’ to break them down into usable materials.

This machine extracts components from unwanted gear, helping manage inventory overflow. Unlike hoarding or repairing obsolete items, recycling streamlines resource recovery. Below is a breakdown of the recycling process and its benefits.

A Recycler

Obtaining a Recycler in Dune Awakening

Constructing a Recycler requires unlocking its blueprint through research. Navigate to the Copper Products section under Construction in the Research menu. After unlocking, use the Construction Tool to place it at your base, consuming 30 Copper Ingots.

Operating the Recycler

Interact with the Recycler to deposit items from your inventory. The device salvages materials based on the item’s tier and durability. Components like Plasteel Microflora Fiber and rare parts are reclaimed through the output slots. These materials aid in crafting upgraded gear, ensuring efficient resource reuse.
