At TennoCon 2025, marking its tenth anniversary, Digital Extremes unveiled new expansions for Warframe, the hit free-to-play third-person multiplayer action title. A major story expansion called The Old Peace is slated for release later this year, inviting players to explore Tau’s forgotten history. This narrative quest, centered on the Operator’s perspective, delves into Tau’s youth alongside ally Adis amid clashes between Orokin forces and the rebellious Dax Anarch faction on Perita’s lunar surface. The chapter progresses Warframe’s ongoing “Void War” saga and precedes the larger Tau narrative arriving in 2026.
A secondary storyline, The Devil’s Triad, will introduce three fresh faces: Father Lyon Allard (Harrow’s Protoframe variant), Marie Leroux (Wisp’s Protoframe incarnation), and Uriel, a devil-inspired Warframe. Meanwhile, Operators receive upgraded character models with refined animations and visual enhancements to match modern design standards, alongside a mysterious new Ultimate power teased for later reveal.
Planned for Fall is an update focusing on accessibility, featuring revamped tutorials like The Teacher quest (co-developed with Sumo Digital), plus Warframe #62, Lavos’ deluxe cosmetic set, and an overhaul for Oberon’s abilities. Additional announcements regarding these changes will follow in September’s developer stream. Concurrently, Warframe’s limited Android beta opens this autumn, with test applications currently active for sign-ups.
