Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed Beta Begins September 10

SEGA has announced the schedule for the limited-time Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed Beta. Participants can access the trial from September 10 at 8 PM PT until September 15 at 7:59 PM PT.

Console players must register through SEGA’s platform, creating an account if necessary. PC users can directly request beta access via Steam without additional steps.

Character Roster

All original fighters from Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage are accessible in the beta, though the DLC combatant Dural remains locked until launch.

This enhanced edition introduces cross-platform multiplayer, rollback netcode, refined training features, and the World Stage solo campaign where players earn cosmetics by defeating AI opponents. Existing PC owners of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. receive a complimentary upgrade, while PlayStation 4 users can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 iteration for $9.99. Newcomers pay $19.99 for full access. The global release arrives October 30 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 adaptation following subsequently.

Additionally, SEGA previewed a practice arena trailer during EVO 2025, with further announcements anticipated at the RGG Direct event on September 23rd.
