Console participants must create a SEGA ID via this link, with testers earning an exclusive in-game title.
Pre-ordering grants the Sega Hardware Customization component “Genesis,” compatible with all 19 base fighters. The 30th Anniversary Edition ($49.49) includes:
- Core game: Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage
- Legacy Content Bundle
- Collaborative Yakuza Series Pack
- 30th Anniversary Swimwear Set, OST Compilation, Rank Badges
- Rare Development Art Archives
A standard edition is priced at $19.99, while individual DLC from the Anniversary Edition will launch separately.
The update introduces cross-platform multiplayer, rollback netcode, and enhanced training tools. A free “World Stage” solo campaign tasks players with defeating elite opponents to earn customization rewards.
Dural, the series’ iconic foe, will join the fighter lineup as paid DLC at launch—marking their first playable role since Final Showdown. However, the character remains banned from official competitions like the Virtua Fighter Open Championship.
PS4 owners of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown can access a discounted PlayStation 5 upgrade priced at $9.99. Steam users with existing copies will receive a complimentary upgrade to World Stage on October 30.
