Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt Servers Shutting Down April 2026

As Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 emerges from its lengthy development cycle, its multiplayer counterpart faces an untimely end. Sharkmob’s free-to-play battle royale Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, which debuted in full on April 27, 2022, will permanently sunset its servers on April 28, 2026—marking a four-year lifespan since its official release.

The studio announced the closure via the game’s website, explaining that declining active users have made continued operation financially unviable. “The current playerbase size no longer justifies sustaining the servers,” the statement read.

While disappointing for dedicated fans, the shutdown aligns with earlier signals. Development ceased in 2023, halting all future content updates despite the game remaining playable. SteamDB metrics reveal a stark drop in engagement: since late 2024, concurrent players rarely exceeded 200 on Steam. Though PlayStation 5 users also accessed the title, combined platforms failed to maintain critical mass.

Over four unforgettable years, your loyalty and creativity shaped Bloodhunt’s legacy,” Sharkmob noted. “But with participation at unsustainable levels, we must bid farewell. The final night falls on Prague come April 2026.

Immediate changes include disabled purchases of premium currency, though existing balances remain spendable until shutdown. Post-closure, all accounts and progression data will be erased permanently.

We urge players to cherish these final nights exploring Prague’s vampiric battlegrounds,” the team concluded. “May the echoes of your rooftop duels and alleyway skirmishes linger long after sunrise.
