Via the official Prince of Persia social media account, the studio stated, “Our team remains fully immersed in crafting this experience – experimenting, developing, and refining every grain of sand. Passion drives this project, with tireless effort (and countless cups of coffee) fueling each decision. We appreciate your continued patience.”

A subsequent message redirected fans to currently available content, adding, “For those seeking immediate action, The Rogue Prince of Persia offers new challenges today.”

Accompanying visuals included updated concept art showcasing a familiar location from the classic title. Recent financial disclosures narrowed the remake’s launch window to March 2026, slightly adjusting earlier projections of a broader 2026 release.

The project’s extended timeline reflects Ubisoft‘s commitment to quality, having previously restarted the project from scratch after initial previews received lukewarm reactions.

While minimal progress reports may prove frustrating for eager fans, the company’s low-key presence at recent gaming events – coupled with the absence of a Ubisoft Forward showcase this year – suggests major announcements remain unlikely in the near term.
