Ubisoft has detailed its summer plans for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, confirming the addition of New Game+ arriving July 29, 2025, alongside a level cap boost to 80. The studio also locked in September 16, 2025 as the launch date for the Claws of Awaji expansion.
Players completing the campaign by July 29 will gain access to New Game+, allowing progression reset while retaining gear, hideout upgrades, and skill points. Discovered locations, objectives, and story progress will restart. The update also introduces Project 3 features and Animus-themed collectibles.
August’s patch addresses community requests, including full map unfogging through viewpoint synchronization and uncapped cinematic framerates on PC. A developer-hosted Reddit AMA is scheduled for August 12 to gather player feedback directly.
September’s Claws of Awaji expansion launches with dynamic time-of-day adjustments and advanced-tier equipment. This follows Ubisoft’s recent announcement of Shadows surpassing 5 million players, contrasting with slower performance from the Rainbow Six franchise.

The title’s milestone comes as Ubisoft balances Shadows’ success against other franchise performances, with Rainbow Six Siege reportedly underperforming commercial forecasts.
