Sword of Justice Open-World MMO Launches November 7 with Path Tracing & AI-Powered NPC Metaverse

NetEase’s internal studio ZhuRong has revealed its worldwide release date for the open-world MMORPG Sword of Justice, launching November 7 across Steam, Android, and iOS. The game adopts a free-to-play model with assurances of zero pay-to-win mechanics, relying instead on skill-based progression via capped attribute systems and regular seasonal refreshes to ensure balanced competition.

Drawing inspiration from Wen Ruian’s The Four Great Constables: Sword of Justice, the story unfolds during the Song Dynasty era (960–1279 CE). Players traverse expansive landscapes, scale mountain ranges, uncover forgotten martial arts techniques, solve cryptic challenges, and engage in dynamic combat against legendary creatures and renegades. Exploration is streamlined through mobility skills like Windstride and Shadowbearer, enabling wall-running, gliding, and parkour maneuvers.

Character customization extends beyond combat, with non-combat options including herbalism, musical performance, forensic investigation, agriculture, and judicial duties. The class system defies traditional MMO roles—support roles can deal substantial damage, while tanks offer healing capabilities, fostering hybrid playstyles.

An advanced AI-driven ecosystem populates the world with NPCs exhibiting memory retention, distinct behaviors, and organic interactions. Graphically, the title leverages ray tracing on mobile platforms, while the PC edition employs full path tracing alongside NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction and Multi Frame Generation for optimized performance and visual fidelity.
