While the physical edition combines both games, players can also purchase them individually via the eShop.

Though visual upgrades appear minimal in the announcement trailer—consistent with the Super Mario 3D All-Stars version already on Switch—the package introduces fresh narrative expansions for Rosalina’s galactic tale through unlockable story pages. A standalone print version of the storybook is planned for later release, though it won’t incorporate the new content created specifically for this collection.

This revival arrives alongside news of a Super Mario Galaxy-themed film adaptation, making the timing apt for reintroducing these cosmic adventures.
