Starfinder: Afterlight Launches on PC via Early Access in 2026

Epictellers Entertainment has announced Starfinder: Afterlight, a strategic RPG slated for early access via Steam in 2026. A Kickstarter campaign is now open for backers eager to support the game’s development, offering fans a chance to shape this sci-fi fantasy experience.

Drawing from the acclaimed Starfinder tabletop universe, the title introduces fresh protagonists with distinct personal arcs while adapting the franchise’s revised Second Edition mechanics into digital form. Collaboration with Paizo, creators of the original RPG, ensures fidelity to its expansive lore, though Epictellers retains full creative control over production.

Partnering with Paizo to launch this project is exhilarating,” stated Ricard Pillosu, CEO of Epictellers. “We aim to craft an unforgettable expedition through the Pact Worlds alongside players, filled with perilous encounters and branching narratives.

Erik Mona of Paizo remarked, “The Starfinder galaxy’s complexity demands a development team attuned to its spirit. Epictellers’ approach captures the essence of our collaborative vision for this evolution of the series.

Players will recruit six allies, each specializing in roles such as soldier, envoy, or mystic, to tackle tactical combat scenarios. The story-driven campaign spans multiple planetary systems, with player decisions dynamically altering outcomes. Notably, Neil Newbon—celebrated for roles in Baldur’s Gate 3 and recent horror title Dead Take—oversees voice acting direction.

While initial screenshots and details paint a promising picture, anticipation now shifts toward witnessing live gameplay demonstrations, expected to debut in coming months.
