Rust Console Edition Upgrades Before Xbox Series X/S Launch

If you’re unaware, Rust Console Edition is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X/S later this month, with its predecessor being phased out by autumn. Existing digital owners of the game will reportedly gain complimentary access to the upgraded version. Upon navigating the store, users should find the next-gen edition marked as a no-cost option if they already possess the legacy version.

“Depending on which version you own on the old generation, you should see the message “You own this” on the matching version of the new gen. For example, if you own the Base version, you will automatically receive the Base version of the new gen, and the same goes for the Deluxe and Ultimate editions. You will get the new gen version for free that corresponds to what you already own.”

Enhanced packages are available for purchase, including bonus content and priority access. Community discussions highlight favorable pricing for premium editions, particularly the Deluxe bundle granting a week’s head start. Physical copy owners might encounter temporary store listing discrepancies, though developers are addressing these.
