Sony’s PlayStation Portal might soon unlock a long-awaited capability, as hints emerge from PlayStation App activity.
A Reddit contributor on the Portal community forum uploaded an image from the PlayStation App showcasing a product listing for Deliver at All Costs. The description suggested Premium-tier PS Plus members could stream purchased PlayStation Portal games via the cloud. Similar language reportedly appeared on Dead Space’s store page before being edited out.
Though Sony hasn’t officially confirmed this functionality, its appearance across multiple titles reduces the likelihood of a random error. This aligns with Sony’s post-launch commitment to refine the Portal’s features. Enabling cloud access to owned digital libraries without local installations would significantly enhance the device’s flexibility.
Since its 2023 debut, the PlayStation Portal has exceeded sales expectations despite initial skepticism. Focused on Remote Play integration, the handheld provides robust performance within its scope. For an in-depth assessment, refer to Kai’s evaluation here.
