Reported: Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Switch 2 December 2025

While no formal confirmation exists for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on the Nintendo Switch 2, speculation about its potential launch has circulated since mid-2024. A PEGI rating earlier this year further fueled expectations, suggesting an official reveal could occur during an upcoming Nintendo showcase.

Despite multiple opportunities for an announcement at recent Nintendo Direct events, details remained scarce until insider revelations from Dealabs surfaced. The report indicates a Switch 2 port will be unveiled by November 7, 2025, with a tentative release slated for December 5, 2025. Pricing is estimated at approximately €50 for the new edition.

Should this timeline hold, Shadows would become Ubisoft’s second major Switch 2 title following Star Wars Outlaws, which exceeded performance expectations. Fans hope the game replicates Outlaws’ technical achievements, showcasing the hardware’s ability to handle modern AAA releases.

Notably, the December launch would position Shadows as Ubisoft’s inaugural project under its collaborative venture with Tencent, Vantage Studios, marking a fresh chapter for the franchise.

In our March review, Francesco De Meo awarded the game an 8.7/10, praising its “return to stealth-focused mechanics blended with refined RPG elements, elevated by a dual-protagonist narrative and meticulously crafted Feudal Japan setting. Though abundant content risks overwhelming players, the historic backdrop and balanced pacing solidify Shadows as a standout series entry.
