Ready or Not Sells 2 Million Copies on Consoles in Two Weeks

VOID Interactive’s tactical shooter Ready or Not made its debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms two weeks prior to this report. Within its initial 96 hours on console storefronts, the title moved 1 million units, contributing to a cumulative 10 million sales across all platforms. An additional million purchases followed over the next 11 days, pushing total console sales to 2 million and overall franchise figures past 11 million since its original PC release.

Our deepest appreciation goes to the community for their relentless support and dedication to tactical excellence,” VOID Interactive CEO Julio Rodriguez stated via a LinkedIn post. “We’re equally grateful to our development team for crafting what we consider the definitive tactical FPS experience, and to our partners for expanding its reach to console audiences.

While the console edition thrives, PC players have voiced frustration over post-launch adjustments introduced alongside the platform expansion. Alterations to in-game content, perceived by many as censorship, sparked backlash visible through widespread critical reviews on Steam. Additionally, complaints emerged regarding technical compromises affecting visual fidelity, which some attribute to parity efforts with console hardware capabilities.

Attention now turns to VOID Interactive’s response strategy as pressure mounts from disgruntled players. Whether the studio will implement revisions to address community concerns remains to be seen in upcoming updates.
