Open-World Sanbox Racing Game Wreckreation Arrives This October

From Three Fields Entertainment—a team formed by ex-Criterion veterans behind the iconic Burnout franchise—comes Wreckreation, an expansive driving playground set to debut on October 28, 2025. THQ Nordic, the game’s publisher, revealed this release date three years after its initial 2022 announcement, accompanied by fresh gameplay footage.

The new trailer emphasizes the game’s chaotic creativity, blending high-speed racing with terrain-shaping tools. Players can craft surreal tracks on the fly, twisting environments with ramps, loops, and obstacles while seamlessly switching between construction and competition modes.

Environmental manipulation sits at the heart of Wreckreation. Beyond altering track layouts mid-race, modifiers like weather effects, time cycles, and cosmetic customizations can be adjusted instantly. The game boasts over 50 vehicles and a sprawling 400 km² world ripe for experimentation, allowing racers to design wild, ever-evolving courses.

Priced at $39.99 (€39.99), Wreckreation will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S this October, inviting players to redefine racing through unbridled innovation.
