Following early reveals of Yoshi’s design and Bowser Jr.’s appearance via a promotional cookie dough package, Nintendo has confirmed a dedicated Nintendo Direct event for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The broadcast is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT.

Nintendo shared the update via their X (formerly Twitter) account and through the Nintendo Today! app. The post emphasizes that the presentation will focus solely on the animated film, with no announcements related to video games.

Given the structure of the previous Super Mario Bros. Movie Direct, this event may similarly spotlight voice talent and narrative elements. The original film’s record-breaking $1.3 billion global earnings spurred rapid sequel confirmation, currently slated for April 3, 2026—three years post-debut of the first installment.
