MindsEye executives exit Build a Rocket Boy ahead of game debut.

Two senior executives at Build a Rocket Boy, the studio behind MindsEye, have departed just days before the game’s launch. Former Chief Legal Officer Riley Graebner shared that the company grew to over 450 employees during his tenure, while CFO Paul Bland exited after two years.

Community discussions on the MindsEye Discord reflect unease about these sudden departures. The game is set to release on 10th June for PC and current-gen consoles. One user speculated: “This might signal internal turmoil or executives avoiding fallout if the launch falters.” Another commented, “Resigning right before a major release seems odd. Would a GTA6 CFO quit a week beforehand?”

These exits follow Build a Rocket Boy co-CEO Mark Gerhard’s claims that pre-release criticism of MindsEye was part of a “coordinated campaign” against the studio. When asked if negative feedback was financially motivated, Gerhard asserted: “100 percent.”
