The developers have unveiled a significant update for Helldivers 2, titled Heart of Democracy, which shifts the conflict to Super Earth. This update follows the Illuminate faction breaching defenses and invading the planet’s urban centers.

The update introduces dynamic territory battles, referred to as an “intergalactic tug-of-war,” where control over areas can change rapidly. Players must now defend cities, reclaim territories, and activate defense systems while battling new enemies like the Crescent Overseer and Fleshmob.

Allied units from the Super Earth Armed Forces (SEAF) will assist players, providing additional support. Civilians in conflict zones must be protected to avoid penalties. Weapon customization options have been expanded to prepare for these intense conflicts.
