Halo Studios recently revealed that the upcoming Operation: Infinite patch, launching November 18, marks the conclusion of major updates for Halo: Infinite. Development efforts will pivot toward Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full UE5-powered reimagining of the original 2001 campaign set for a 2025 release. Insider reports suggest additional remakes of Halo 2 and 3 campaigns may also be underway, alongside an unnamed main series installment.
For Operation: Infinite, players gain doubled progression rates for Career Rank and Spartan Points across all modes, simplifying unlocks for the iconic Mark VI armor. The update adds two permanent passes: a 100-level free tier with Serpin, Seeker, and Adamant armor cores, plus coatings and accessories. A Premium Pass offers five exclusive armor sets (Artificer, Kobold, Seedwarden, Phoenix, and First Vanguard), custom weapon models, and premium cosmetics like the Charged Quill Shock Rifle variant.
Over 200 previously unreleased items—including armor components, weapon skins, and legacy Halo 5 bundles—will cycle through The Exchange. New seasonal maps include the winter-themed Yuletide (Quick Play) and competitive arena Vacancy for ranked modes. Though this concludes feature updates, rotating challenges will persist for leveling and currency gains.
Launched in late 2021, Halo: Infinite earned praise initially for its multiplayer experience, but dwindling content updates led to community fatigue. The studio aims to regain momentum with its remake projects and future titles. For deeper insights, revisit their recent livestream recap below.
