Microsoft has unveiled its Game Pass offerings for August, with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage headlining the roster. Subscribers can access the title beginning Thursday, August 7.
Launching in 2023, the game underwent a transformation from a planned Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansion to a full release. Diverging from recent franchise trends, it trades sprawling RPG elements for a more focused experience. Critics praised its design, as highlighted in our 8/10 review:
While Assassin’s Creed Mirage initially feels constrained by predictable systems and aging graphics, its compact world, detailed narrative, and mission diversity gradually shine through. This entry proves traditional stealth mechanics still deliver satisfaction, even if some edges feel rough.
Speculation suggests Savvy Games Group might finance additional content, though unconfirmed. Any future DLC would require separate purchase beyond Game Pass availability.

- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Xbox Series X|S launch: August 6; GP Standard)
