The Talos Principle: Reawakened isn’t just a remaster of Croteam’s original game; it’s a fresh experience with new content, including the “In the Beginning” expansion. This expansion adds 18 challenging puzzles, 16 of which were crafted in collaboration with dedicated fans. This guide will help you solve the “Eclipse” puzzle in the Egypt section of the expansion.

This puzzle can be tricky, but knowing that only half the area is essential for progressing can save time. Using pause points and manipulating objects while paused is key to solving it.

Phase One

Begin by obtaining the key to the locked door on the left side of the puzzle area.

Move toward the inactive barrier on the right. Connect the elevated step’s connector to the blue beam and node. Place it to the left of the step and angle it to stay connected. This will deactivate the barrier but not the fan.

Turn around and take the hexahedron (box) from the weighted switch on your right. Place it on the elevated step to deactivate the fan.

Retrieve the fan from the vent, place it on the weighted switch, and collect the box. This reconnects the blue beam, deactivating both barriers. Grab the fan and place it near the box and connector.

Bring the box and fan to the starting area. Use the fan on the vent to the right of the switch. Place the box on the switch to activate it, then jump to the platform to get the keys.

Phase Two

Use the obtained keys to unlock the door and access the recorder. You’ll need the connector, which is on the wrong side of a barrier. Follow these steps to get it and solve the puzzle:

Activate the recorder after unlocking the door and set a pause point. Play the recording to duplicate the connector.

With the duplicated connector from the recording, grab it without disconnecting the beams. Place it near the vents and switch in the entrance.

Connect the obtained connector to the red beam and node, placing it near the vent.

Start a new recording and use the fan as a weight on the left-side switch.

Connect the duplicated connector to the red node through the window.

Place the fan back on the vent, create a pause point, then grab the box and step on the switch to create another pause point.

Drop the box on the fan, wait for it to reach peak height, then create another pause point and stop the recording.

When the recording plays, place the fan on the switch again. Once paused, put the box on the fan and connect the duplicated connector to the recording version, placing it on the box.
