The King Watches How to Demolish and Remove Buildings

Authored by Alec Blackwood | The King is Watching

In The King Is Watching, removing structures requires three simple steps:

  • Activate deletion mode by clicking the [-] icon on the left side of the King’s interface
  • Select any building to destroy permanently
  • Cancel by right-clicking outside your visible kingdom area

Important: There are no keyboard shortcuts for deletion. Use this feature cautiously, as removed buildings cannot be recovered during your current playthrough.

Tip: For repositioning structures instead of destroying them, explore our building relocation guide.

Strategic Building Removal

Optimize your kingdom by eliminating obsolete structures. Key scenarios include:

  • Replacing Markets with advanced Gold Mines
  • Switching military strategies (e.g., abandoning Militia Camps for Dragon Roosts)
  • Clearing space for critical vision rotations

Common removal candidates:

  • Outdated Wheat Fields after upgrading to Flour Mills

  • Temporary Spell Towers post-casting

  • Obstructive resource producers
