Tales of the Shire: How to Access Storage

Tales of the Shire lets you customize your hobbit home with a Home Decoration system. Use it to:

  • Rearrange or store furniture
  • Switch between seasonal themes
  • Organize decorative items securely

Accessing Your Storage

  1. Enter any room in your home
  2. Hold the Select button (center controller button) to activate Home Decoration mode
  3. Press Y/△ to open the Storage interface

Storage has four categories: Furniture, Decorations, Meals, and Garden. Browse tabs to view available items.

Positioning Items

Select an item from Storage to place it in your space. Rotate horizontally using RT/LT (R2/L2 on PlayStation) before confirming placement with A/X. Preview placements with the camera view.

Returning Items to Storage

In Home Decoration mode:

  1. Hover over any placed item until it highlights blue
  2. Press ↓ on the D-pad to store instantly

How do you open storage?

Activate Home Decoration mode with Select, then press Y/△.

Can you store any item?

Only furniture/decorations. Meals and garden items have placement restrictions.

Can you rotate furniture vertically?

No – rotation works only on horizontal axes.
