Stellar Blade: How To Change Ammo Type

Stellar Blade emphasizes dynamic melee encounters, blending precision strikes against diverse adversaries. While close-quarters combat dominates, certain engagements demand ranged tactics. Eve initially holds 30 rounds, creating potential shortages during prolonged battles.

Thankfully, scattered ammunition caches replenish reserves efficiently. Upgrades also expand carrying capacity, though these won’t aid mid-fight shortages. Combat versatility comes from switching bullet types mid-engagement, a critical survival technique explained below alongside ammunition variations.

Switching Projectile Types During Combat

The ammo wheel

To alter ammunition mid-fight, aim your weapon and hold the reload input (R key or D-pad down). This activates a radial menu displaying available options. Early gameplay offers three variants: Standard Rounds, Energy Cores, and Missile Clusters. A new variant becomes available via the Drone Module: high-impact shells and cluster explosives.

Ammunition Variations and Tactical Applications

  • Standard Rounds: Baseline projectiles with balanced performance.
  • Energy Cores: Chargeable beams requiring brief warm-up before discharge.
  • Missile Clusters: Lock-on projectiles; upgrades amplify salvo quantities.
  • High-Impact Shells: Explosive rounds causing area damage upon impact.
  • Spread Charges: Close-range pellets effective against grouped enemies.
