Hazel’s journey to the small town of Prospero is filled with captivating visuals and sounds. However, there’s also a wealth of written content to explore along the way.
South of Midnight truly shines in its narrative, including the various notes scattered throughout the game. Each note adds depth to the story and provides context to the events you encounter.
These notes can also offer valuable historical insights, delving into the fictional town’s past and drawing parallels to real-world tragedies. That’s why it’s highly recommended to collect all 103 notes in South of Midnight.
We’ll begin with Chapter 1, guiding you through every single note.
South of Midnight – Locate All Notes – Chapter 1
You’ll find only 3 notes in this chapter, all located within Bunny’s house. You won’t need to search extensively until Hazel wakes up there after the storm.
Bunny’s message to Lily about tea – This note is in the room where Hazel first wakes up. Look to your right and you’ll see a desk with a mirror; the note is on the desk, revealing the first hints of Bunny’s character.

Bunny’s journal entry, 1982 – This note, along with the next, is in Bunny’s office. Access the office by climbing the ledges within the house; upon entering, the note will be on the desk to your left.
Bunny’s journal entries, 1989 & 2003 – These two entries are on a red chair directly in front of you when you enter Bunny’s office.

That’s all for Chapter 1 in South of Midnight. Only 100 notes left to collect!
