Phasmophobia Chronicle v0.13.1.0 Update Notes – All Quality-of-Life Changes

Phasmophobia’s recent Chronicle Update overhauled Media mechanics, with the v0.13.1.0 patch introducing numerous quality-of-life upgrades. Explore revised gameplay adjustments in the notes below.

Phasmophobia Chronicle v0.13.1.0 Enhancements

Video Recording now offers expanded options following the Chronicle Update. Version 0.13.1.0 introduces fresh capture opportunities:

  • Obake shapeshifting (this evidence can be hard to record and this is a known issue to the developers).
  • The burning Crucifix in the chapel of Sunny Meadows.
  • The ghost turning Crucifix in Sunny Meadows.

Visual and audio indicators now accompany successful recordings, with Tier 2/3 devices providing both flashing lights and sound cues. Multiplayer lobbies now display location names while selecting maps.

Gameplay Adjustments

This update reflects developer responsiveness to community feedback through multiple system refinements.

Evidence Valuation

Rarer evidence types now yield greater rewards:

  • Dead Body – Now $5 (was $10)
  • Hunt Sounds – Now $20 (was $15)
  • Ghost Writing – Now $10 (was $5)
  • Freezing Temperatures – Now $10 (was $5)

Audio Tweaks

Improved sound recording mechanics now capture post-event screams, with volume adjustments for specific interactions:

  • Door rattle /slam / squeak interaction audio has been reduced.
  • Light extinguish interaction audio has been reduced.
  • The audio from the teddy bear has been reduced.

Gear Modifications

Tier 3 cameras feature redesigned displays matching journal dimensions, while warehouse CCTV monitors received visual upgrades.

Photo Management

Revised voting protocols streamline media deletion:

  • In a match with 3 or 4 players, only a majority vote – not unanimous – is required to delete a piece of media.
  • Photos with $0 value can now be deleted without the need to vote.

Interaction Reclassification

These items now register as standard interaction evidence rather than unique captures:

  • Bear traps
  • Camping stoves
  • Showers
  • Sinks
  • Phones
