Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment: How To Use Amiibo

Nintendo’s latest games, especially those on Switch systems, often feature collectible amiibo figures, and Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment continues this tradition. Enthusiasts can look forward to upcoming amiibo releases alongside existing figures available through official retailers.

Similar to previous titles in the Zelda series, scanning compatible amiibo in this game unlocks in-game bonuses. Though these rewards aren’t game-changing, they provide useful boosts during early gameplay stages.

To activate amiibo functionality, players must first complete the introductory tutorial sequence. This includes overcoming initial combat challenges and reaching the first save point after The Art of the Blade mission, which unlocks the full menu system.

Once unlocked, position compatible amiibo on the Joy-Con’s joystick to scan via NFC. Successful scans generate loot chests containing rewards. Note that only figures designed for Switch or its successor will function.

Limitations To Using Amiibo in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment

Players should note they can only scan each figure once daily, with a maximum of five different amiibo per 24-hour period. Compatibility extends to both Switch and its successor console models.
