How to Fight Eris in Neon Abyss

Contributed by Jason B. | Neon Abyss 2

Preparing for the Eris Battle

  • Activate a faith early: Choose any faith at the start of a floor before reaching Apollo’s level. This initiates a faith meter that doesn’t need to be full—just partially filled before facing Apollo.
  • Avoid Apollo’s temple: Do not interact with the faith temple on Apollo’s floor. Using it ends your run prematurely.
  • Defeat Apollo with faith intact: Ensure your faith meter hasn’t depleted. Victory will unlock a portal to Eris’s domain instead of returning you to the hub.

Optional Mechanics on Eris’s Floor

  • Temples here can be used safely—they won’t affect your ability to battle Eris.
  • Faith levels may fluctuate without consequences.

Confronting Eris

  • Locate her boss room through exploration, similar to earlier battles.
  • Winning unlocks progression to Hyperion, the true finale.

Key Questions Answered

  • What defines a faith? A system that accumulates power based on selections made each floor.
  • Does faith need maxing? No—only activation matters.
  • Can I use Eris’s temple? Yes, unlike Apollo’s.
  • Consequences of entering Apollo’s temple: Instant run termination.
  • Is Eris the last boss? No—Hyperion follows her defeat.
