While many Wishes in Hollow Knight Silksong involve straightforward tasks, the Rite of Rebirth Wish stands out as an exceptionally demanding challenge. Triggered in Shellwood, this quest curses Hornet, severely limits her healing abilities, and alters her Crest. Below, we detail how to initiate and conquer this brutal trial.

Initiating the Rite of Rebirth Wish

Locate the Twisted Bud in the left section of Bilewater.
Deliver it to Greyroot in Shellwood, activating the Wish.
Upon starting the ritual, Hornet is cursed: her Silk Spool shrinks, Tool slots vanish, and Bind healing is disabled, forcing reliance on benches for recovery.

Completing the Rite of Rebirth

Chapel of the Witch

The curse transforms Hornet’s Crest, marking the start of this punishing journey.

Step 1: Speak to the Chapel Maid early in the game. She hints at seeking her uncle, the Bell Hermit.
Step 2: In Bellhart, break the hidden wall beneath the Bell Station stairs to find the Bell Hermit. He directs you to Doctor Yarnaby.
Step 3: Ascend Greymoor to reach Yarnaby’s hut. She demands Steel Spines from Sinner’s Road.
Step 4: Purchase Steel Spines for 260 Rosaries from NPCs in Sinner’s Road’s caged chamber (top-right area opposite the bench).
Step 5: Return the Steel Spines to Yarnaby, lifting the curse and granting the Crest of the Witch.
