Understanding the Blood Moon event in Grow a Garden
The Blood Moon event occurs alongside the Lunar event featuring the Wise Old Owl. During the ‘Nightfall’ weather event, which happens every hour for ten minutes, there’s a chance the Blood Moon will rise. When it does, the sky turns red, and a red moon icon appears on your screen.
If the Blood Moon rises during ‘Nightfall,’ your crops can develop the ‘Bloodlit’ mutation, which is a variation of the ‘Moonlit’ mutation. Affected crops will glow red, and you’ll receive a notification. These crops can still be traded with the Wise Old Owl as they count as ‘Moonlit’ fruit.

When the Blood Moon rises, a special shop appears near the Wise Old Owl, featuring unique items. This shop is available only during the ten minutes the Blood Moon is active and offers expensive items.
