Catching Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence in Pokémon Legends Z-A

In Pokemon Legends Z-A, trainers will encounter various creatures like Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence during their adventures. Salamence stands out as a Dragon-type capable of Mega Evolution, alongside others like Dragonite and Garchomp. Capturing them might be challenging due to the Wild Zone mechanics.

Here’s a breakdown of acquiring these Dragon-type species in the game.

Acquiring Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamence in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Bagon and Salamence are obtainable in wild areas, while Shelgon must be evolved. Detailed methods for each are outlined below.

Locating Bagon

Bagon inhabits Wild Zone 18, accessible after reaching Rank B in the main storyline. This late-game region requires progression before Bagon becomes available. Found in the courtyard near buildings, it spawns at any time.

Evolving Shelgon

Shelgon is acquired by evolving Bagon at Level 30. Wild Zone 18’s Bagon often start at higher levels, reducing the time needed for evolution.

Securing Salamence

Two methods exist for obtaining Salamence:

  • Evolution: Elevate Shelgon to Level 50.
  • Wild Capture: Search Wild Zone 18 for Alpha Salamence. These variants boast high stats and are best approached with Ice-type allies.
