As premium resources in ARC Raiders, Motion Cores play a pivotal role in developing superior armaments and equipment. These components are indispensable for advancing Refiner units to tiers 2 and 3, which subsequently produce enhancement materials for upgrading other fabrication stations. Securing these cores proves critical for unlocking advanced technological capabilities within the game’s progression system.
Strategies for Obtaining Motion Cores
Differing from typical above-ground resources, Motion Cores lack specific location markers, requiring alternative acquisition methods outlined below.
Hostile Automatons
Mobile Observers

Spherical automatons known as Observers present significant challenges due to their scarcity and evasive behavior. These machines actively retreat from approaching players but reveal their position through distinctive azure sky beams. Successfully neutralizing one yields high chances of acquiring Motion Cores from their remains.
Groundeddrones

Stationary white drone remnants scattered across maps contain Motion Cores when accessed. Notable concentrations appear near the Electrical Substation’s western sector and throughout Red Lakes in Dam Battlegrounds.
Major Antagonists

Primary mechanical adversaries including Bombardiers, Bastions, Leapers, Rocketeers, and Queens may drop Motion Cores upon defeat.
Synthesis Methods
Advanced Refiner units (tier 3) can produce Motion Cores using 6 Arc Alloys. This creates a progression loop requiring initial core collection for Refiner upgrades. Higher-tier Refiners combine 2 Motion Cores with 2 Advanced Mechanical Components to craft Magnetic Accelerators – rare components for elite-grade armaments. Disassembling cores for alloys remains inefficient and generally discouraged.
