EA and Full Circle have confirmed that Skate’s early access phase begins September 16, 2025, across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. A fresh development overview revealed launch details and a flexible seasonal plan, though a final release date remains unannounced.
The roadmap outlines major seasonal updates post-launch. Season 1 starts in October 2025, featuring the Skate Pass progression system, limited-time Halloween festivities, and technical improvements. Subsequent updates will bring collaborative play, enhanced editing tools, fresh challenges, and expanded customization options.

December 2025 marks Season 2, introducing team-based gameplay mechanics and advanced video editing capabilities alongside standard seasonal content. The following year’s Season 3 update will enable user-generated skate parks, competitive leaderboards, and additional trick mechanics for players to explore.
From the September launch window through Season 1, newcomers can familiarize themselves with Skate’s reimagined controls using the in-game Skatepedia tutorial system. The signature flick-it mechanics have been reconstructed using Frostbite engine technology, offering refined physics for both veterans and newcomers.
Existing playtest participants already have early access to the build through the Insider program. The free-to-play title will become publicly accessible next month, allowing all players to test its evolving infrastructure ahead of future expansions.
