DON’T NOD has shared its financial report for the first half of 2025, revealing mixed outcomes. The studio disclosed that its latest title, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, underperformed relative to projections, alongside the announcement of a partnership with Netflix to develop a story-driven project tied to an undisclosed “significant franchise.”
The news follows a challenging period for the developer, as its previous 2024 releases—Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Jusant—also struggled commercially. Overall revenues dipped by 5% year-over-year to €13.9 million, reflecting continued pressures.
However, the studio’s freshly launched co-op RPG The Lonesome Guild, which debuted on October 23, 2025, for consoles and PC, may signal a turnaround. Additionally, its collaboration with Netflix adds intrigue, with the streaming giant set to publish the narrative-driven title produced by DON’T NOD’s Montreal branch.
This partnership arrives amid shifting strategies for Netflix’s gaming ambitions, following its recent decision to shut down Boss Fight Entertainment, the studio behind the canceled Squid Game: Unleashed. While this closure hints at potential caution in Netflix’s gaming investments, the DON’T NOD agreement suggests ongoing interest in high-concept narrative games like the studio’s upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Split Fiction, and Dead Take.
For now, all eyes are on whether the Netflix-backed project can revive DON’T NOD’s fortunes while demonstrating sustained demand for cinematic storytelling in gaming.
