Diablo 4’s second anniversary left fans disappointed. They expressed frustration over receiving far less than Immortal.

As the calendar turns to June 6th, Sanctuary prepares to mark two years since Diablo IV’s arrival. A recent developer announcement suggests the festivities will be low-key, particularly when contrasted with the mobile installment’s more lavish offerings.

Sanctuary’s birthday festivities

Commemorations commenced earlier than expected on June 3rd, extending through June 17th (10:00 AM PT). The anniversary features a revamped reliquary system offering premium cosmetic items purchasable with in-game currency. Six rewards are available:

  1. Sunflame Lantern (mount decoration)
  2. Burning Dawn Banner (mount decoration)
  3. Sunraiser (sword appearance)
  4. Sunflame Sword (two-handed weapon skin)
  5. Burning Barbs (polearm design)
  6. Burning Dawn (bow customization)

Completing the collection rewards players with exclusive Burning Dawn mount armor.

Community discontent surfaces

Player sentiment on community forums reveals widespread disappointment, with many criticizing underwhelming rewards. This frustration amplifies when comparing anniversary offerings between titles.

We really just get nothing compared to what Immortal gets.

Well, that’s disappointing.

Blizzard’s mobile counterpart celebrates its third anniversary with substantive rewards including premium gems, multiple limited-time activities, and exclusive cosmetics. The Vessel of Hatred expansion remains available across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms, with base game access included in Microsoft’s subscription service.
