By now, we’re all aware that the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons feature a mouse sensor, but there’s more: the system also supports USB mice.
As revealed in a Koei Tecmo video and reported by VGC, producer Michi Ryu demonstrated how both built-in and USB mice can be used on the new system. The functionality mirrors the Steam version, supporting left click, right click, and wheel operations.
Ryu showed switching between input devices, with the screen confirming each change. The left Joy-Con 2 can also be used simultaneously for shortcuts.
Upon release, the Switch 2 will offer GameChat with text-to-speech and live captions. Video and voice chats will be recorded temporarily if users consent, to maintain a family-friendly environment.
