Fatshark, the Swedish studio behind Warhammer 40K Darktide, unveiled its inaugural premium expansion this week featuring the Adeptus Arbites faction. Recent reports confirm the DLC’s debut exceeded expectations, with CEO Martin Wahlund stating:
Initial player engagement surpassed our projections by over twofold on release day. We’re grateful for the overwhelming support!
Accompanying the announcement were revealing metrics: Players rewarded the Cyber-Mastiff companion with 459,760 affectionate interactions, while Arbites operatives eliminated 553 million hostile targets. The Mk III Branx Shock Maul emerged as the preferred close-quarters weapon (969,008 uses), outpaced only by the Mk III Executioner Shotgun (1.15 million deployments). The Break The Line tactical skill saw 715,525 activations, cementing its popularity.
The Arbites expansion retails at $11.99, with a $18.99 Deluxe Edition offering exclusive cosmetic sets for both enforcers and their cyber-hounds, universal portrait embellishments, and four armament customizations.
A complimentary update launched alongside the DLC introduces a streamlined campaign experience for newcomers, expanded mission variety via revised assignment boards, and quality-of-life enhancements: Eight operative slots now replace previous limits, while weapon configuration presets have doubled. Additionally, 900+ new voice lines enrich squad interactions.
Notably, Owlcat Games coincidentally spotlighted Adeptus Arbites this week through Rogue Trader’s Lex Imperialis expansion, featuring Judge Anthar as a new companion, marking a dual-emphasis release across Warhammer titles.
