Warhammer enthusiasts are spoiled with plenty of content. Alongside ongoing updates for Space Marine 2, which launched last September and is set to introduce a new gameplay mode, fans are also enjoying updates from Fatshark studio. During the Warhammer Skulls event, details about upcoming features for Warhammer 40K: Darktide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 were revealed.
Darktide’s New Character Class
The most exciting update for Darktide players is the upcoming DLC, arriving on June 23 for PS5, XSX/S, and PC. Priced at 11.99 euros, the DLC introduces the Arbitrator, a new character class.
Arbitrators are known for their precision in hunting down those who defy the Lex Imperialis. They are aided in battle by advanced cybernetic companions—deadly mastiff war dogs.
- These Arbitrators can command their dogs to eliminate foes and support the team, much like the main character, with the dogs being customizable.
- The class offers access to 80 unique talents and three distinct combat styles.
- New weapons include the Arbites shotgun, storm shield with a pistol, and the Dominator Maul for melee combat.
On the same day as the DLC release, a free update will also be available, enhancing the game’s narrative to improve mission experiences and storytelling. The updated system, called the “selected quests path,” will help players navigate the city of Tertium more effectively. This improved system emphasizes player skills over leveling up. The Skulls event will add challenges with special totems and rewards for completing them.
Update to Vermintide 2
Fatshark Studios has released the final mission for Warhammer 40K: Vermintide 2’s campaign, titled “The Well of Dreams,” concluding the game’s story. It’s available for all owners on PS4, PS5, XOne, and XSX/S.
Along with the new map, players can unlock cosmetic items through the limited-time “Skulls for the Skull Throne” event, running until June 1. The final mission is accompanied by patch 6.6.0, which includes bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and enhanced bot behavior to assist players better.
