Following their annual Gamescom tradition, Elysium Game Studio unveiled a new gameplay trailer for NEO BERLIN 2087, their flagship cyberpunk RPG. Set in a dystopian future, the game thrusts players into a fractured Berlin transformed into a neon-lit fortress by 2087, where lawlessness and rogue machines dominate the outskirts.
Players step into the role of Nolan, a tormented detective portrayed by Elias Toufexis (known for Deus Ex’s Adam Jensen), tasked with unraveling the murder of the city’s police chief. His mission: locate the victim’s daughter, Natalie, who may possess critical evidence. Equipped with advanced cybernetic enhancements and an arsenal of weapons, Nolan navigates a labyrinth of danger, slowly uncovering a web of corruption that threatens to consume both him and the metropolis. His alliance with Natalie—a tech-savvy fugitive—becomes pivotal as their entangled pasts collide, forcing them to confront existential threats.
The studio emphasizes player agency, blending shooter, stealth, and RPG systems. Customizable skills and gear allow diverse approaches, from aggressive assaults to silent takedowns. Drawing from cyberpunk staples like Blade Runner, the game reimagines Berlin as a stratified megacity encircled by desolate badlands. Beyond skyscrapers, players explore hazardous zones teeming with adversaries, engaging in dynamic combat or bypassing threats through hacking and evasion.
Built on Unreal Engine, NEO BERLIN 2087 lacks a confirmed release date but targets PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Wishlisting is now available across platforms.
