A cohort of former CD Projekt team members are rejoining the developer to contribute to major titles like the next Witcher and Cyberpunk installments.
Online communities recently observed (through Reddit) that CDPR staff including Cyberpunk 2 director Paweł Sasko responded to multiple LinkedIn announcements from former colleagues now returning to the studio. These posts highlighted developers previously affiliated with CD Projekt Red who are re-entering the fold.
Notable returnees include Jakub Wichnowski (senior environmental artist), Marta Stawrowska (senior animation specialist), Lucie Schaar (3D animation lead), Alex Sutton (narrative designer), and Jagoda Hapeta (quality assurance analyst). While specific responsibilities weren’t disclosed, their involvement likely strengthens development efforts for both Polaris (the next Witcher game) and Orion (Cyberpunk’s sequel), alongside unannounced initiatives.
This workforce resurgence has generated enthusiasm among fans, with many interpreting the returning talent as an encouraging development that signals strong project potential. Community members also suggest this pattern demonstrates CD Projekt’s positive studio culture, as former employees choose to reinvest their expertise in the company’s future endeavors.
Development pipelines currently show Cyberpunk’s sequel in early phases, while The Witcher’s new chapter advances through production stages. Additional CDPR projects include the codenamed Hadar universe and a remastered version of the original Witcher title.
