The price of Borderlands 4 is yet to be announced, and Randy Pitchford, the Gearbox leader, claims the pricing decision isn’t within his control.
However, after accidentally suggesting that genuine fans would pay $80 for the game, Pitchford posted a lengthy explanation to clarify his comments.
While he expressed regret for the misunderstanding, he didn’t apologize for the statements themselves. He stated, “My aim is to ensure that no one pays more than they comfortably can afford and that every customer feels satisfied with their purchase, regardless of the amount they pay.”
Pitchford acknowledged that his words may have seemed dismissive of fans, admitting it was “a bad look.” He emphasized gratitude for fan support and his desire for everyone to access their creations without price increases.
