Following significant community uproar, Paradox Interactive has reversed its decision, confirming that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will now feature all vampire clans in the standard edition. Initially revealed at Gamescom 2025, plans to lock Toreador and Lasombra clans behind a $21.99 DLC or the Premium Edition sparked widespread criticism, prompting the publisher to overhaul its approach.
Marco Behrmann, White Wolf’s Executive VP and Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer, stated:
We appreciate the honest feedback from our community regarding the game’s structure. It became evident that excluding Lasombra and Toreador from the base experience wasn’t aligned with player expectations, so we’ve adjusted accordingly. Special thanks to The Chinese Room for their agility in developing compelling post-launch story concepts, showcasing their ability to craft engaging narratives that enhance the core game.
The revised Premium Edition now bundles two narrative expansions alongside the Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack. The first DLC, Loose Cannon (Q2 2026), explores Brujah Sheriff Benny’s dark journey of vengeance, unlocking a thematic outfit for protagonist Phyre upon release. The second, The Flower & the Flame (Q3 2026), follows Toreador leader Ysabella’s ambitious quest to forge a vampiric masterpiece, including an exclusive character costume. Both DLCs retail separately at $14.99/£12.99/€14.99, with the Expansion Pass ($34.99/£28.99/€34.99) available from October 21, 2025.

A physical Premium Edition ($89.99/£74.99/€89.99) developed in collaboration with PLAION will include the Expansion Pass, Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox pre-order bonus, character cards, a lore journal, and a Steelbook case housed in a collector’s box.
