Battlefield 6 Season 1 Starts October 28; Roadmap Unveiled

Battlefield 6’s inaugural season, launching October 28, brings fresh free content to all players, as revealed by DICE, Criterion, Ripple Effect, and Motive. The three-phase Season 1—Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive—promises new maps, modes, and gear.

Rogue Ops debuts with Blackwell Fields, a versatile map supporting diverse battle scales and vehicular combat. The narrative follows Pax Armata operatives targeting NATO installations at a reactivated U.S. airbase in California’s arid region. Strikepoint, a 4v4 elimination mode, forces squads into single-life rounds to secure objectives. Phase one also adds:

  • APC Traverser Mark 2 – A four-crew armored vehicle with driver, top-mounted gunner, and dual side cannons.
  • SOR-300C – A carbine using .300 Blackout rounds for increased impact over standard 5.56 variants.
  • Mini Fix – Compact bolt-action rifle optimized for mobility.
  • GGH-22 – Rapid-fire sidearm with expanded magazine capacity.
  • LPVO & Rail Cover – New optics and rail-mounted enhancements for rifles/LMGs.

California Resistance arrives November 18, introducing Eastwood—a luxurious suburban locale with golf course vistas. Sabotage mode pits 8v8 teams in timed objective destruction, with victories determined by total sites eliminated. Phase two adds Battle Pickups: rare high-tier weapons with limited ammo, alongside:

  • DB-12 – Pump-action shotgun featuring dual barrels for rapid firing.
  • M327 Trait – Eight-round revolver excelling in close range but hampered by steep damage falloff.
  • Troy Angled – Alternative underbarrel grip improving weapon handling.

Winter Offensive (December 9) transforms Empire State into a frostbitten warzone. A limited-time Ice Lock event introduces environmental hazards, while the Ice Climbing Axe becomes the newest melee option. PC players gain access to a Game Ready Driver from NVIDIA for optimized performance.
