Ubisoft Quebec has introduced the patch notes for the upcoming 1.0.5 title update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, scheduled for release tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

One of the key updates is the availability of the previously exclusive quest, ‘Thrown to the Dogs,’ now accessible to all players, regardless of whether they pre-ordered the game. Additionally, a collaborative event with Dead by Daylight has been added, featuring a brand-new quest inspired by the game.

While the patch notes hint at the premise of the quest, they remain vague. “As villagers begin to vanish, Naoe suspects a mysterious force is threatening the people of Harima,” the notes state. “To prevail, you’ll need to master unique mechanics to face an otherworldly adversary…“

There’s also a smaller collaboration with Balatro. Although it doesn’t include a Balatro-themed quest, it adds a new trinket for Naoe and an amulet for Yasuke, both inspired by Balatro.

In terms of gameplay improvements, the parkour system has been enhanced. Players can now maintain their sprint while climbing buildings, provided the direction of movement remains consistent. Additionally, Naoe and Yasuke can now perform vertical jumps to grab “any ledge, awnings, or overhangs within reach, minimizing the reliance on vertical wall runs.”

Other additions include new features in the Photo Mode, such as adjusting the time of day for photos or saving custom filters. The update also includes various bug fixes to improve the overall game experience.
