Metal Gear Solid Delta Showcases New Snake Eater Theme.

The much-awaited remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, now titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is set to release on August 28, 2025. Konami is beginning to generate buzz for this highly anticipated release, starting with the unveiling of a newly revamped opening cinematic for this updated version of Snake Eater.

This version features a fresh rendition of Cynthia Harrell’s iconic opening theme song, performed in the same vein as her original recording from 2004. The opening cinematic has also been completely reimagined by Kyle Cooper, the renowned designer behind numerous movie and TV title sequences.

The cinematic highlights key characters and pivotal moments from Metal Gear Solid 3, with Harrell’s voice delivering a performance that matches the quality of her original recording two decades ago.

While Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater promises significant visual enhancements over the original game, it’s the anticipated changes to the gameplay that have fans most excited. Konami’s success with the remake of Silent Hill 2 has raised expectations, and the company is likely hoping to replicate—or even surpass—that achievements with this new title.

If Silent Hill 2 is the fan favorite of its series, it’s fair to say that Metal Gear Solid 3 holds a similar status within the MGS franchise. The pressure on this remake is immense, but if it lives up to the hype, it could be a triumph for Konami. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details ahead of the August release.
